Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy applies to all users of the yoDrop service in South Africa. It outlines the terms under which cancellations can be made and any applicable fees. By using yoDrop, you agree to this Cancellation Policy as part of our Terms of Use.

1. Customer Cancellations

1.1 Cancellation Before a Driver is Assigned

Customers may cancel a Drop request at no charge if the cancellation is made before a Driver has been assigned.

1.2 Cancellation After a Driver is Assigned

Once a Driver has been assigned, cancellation fees may apply as follows:

  • Within 5 Minutes: If canceled within 5 minutes of Driver assignment, no cancellation fee will be charged.
  • After 5 Minutes: A cancellation fee of [Specify Amount] may apply to compensate the Driver for time and effort.
1.3 Cancellation After Driver Arrival

If a Customer cancels after the Driver has arrived at the pickup location, the full base fare or a percentage of the estimated fare may be charged as a cancellation fee.

2. Driver Cancellations

2.1 Unavoidable Driver Cancellations

Drivers may cancel a Drop due to unforeseen circumstances such as vehicle breakdowns, emergencies, or unsafe conditions. In such cases, Customers will not be charged.

2.2 Repeated Driver Cancellations

If a Driver cancels multiple Drops without valid reasons, yoDrop reserves the right to review and take appropriate action, including suspension or removal from the platform.

3. No-Show Policy

3.1 Customer No-Show

If a Customer is not available at the pickup location within [Specify Timeframe, e.g., 10 minutes] of the Driver's arrival, the Drop may be canceled, and a no-show fee equal to the base fare may be charged.

3.2 Driver No-Show

If a Driver fails to arrive at the pickup location within a reasonable timeframe, the Customer may cancel without penalties and may be eligible for a refund or compensation.

4. Refunds on Cancellations

Refunds for cancellations will be processed based on the Refund Policy. Eligible refunds will be credited to the original payment method within [Specify Timeframe, e.g., 7-10 business days].

5. Changes to This Cancellation Policy

yoDrop reserves the right to update this Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the yoDrop app and website. Users are encouraged to review this policy regularly.
